How it Works

Making Every Journey Count

PAWS coordinates and funds each animal's transport. As a flight escort, you'll be their companion, ensuring they're cared for throughout the journey. Upon arrival, you may be greeted by their new family or, in some cases, deliver them directly to their new home.

Each escorting trip is unique, with individual arrangements agreed upon after initial contact. Your role in this process is a crucial bridge to a happier life for these animals.

Animal Experience: You must have previous experience with animals and feel comfortable handling them.

Airport of Departure: Must be scheduled to fly from "Chania International Airport Ioannis Daskalogiannis (CHQ)" or "Heraklion International Airport N. Kazantzakis (HER)".

Age Restrictions: Volunteers under 18 must provide parental consent to participate.
